  1. I have been trying to find out how to participate in this group. I am a member of NAA but find no information on the website. None here. None on facebook. Is this a “closed” group?

    • If you can get to the reception for the annual show, it’s a good place to meet people and to make sure you’re on the mailing list for group updates. Meeting updates are typically posted to the AAGNE facebook page. To Join the group you just show up to a meeting and introduce yourself. Very open and informal

The group’s officers this year are Joshua Marcus (President)
      Jennifer Burnham (Secretary)
and Ethel Hills (Treasurer? she just gets a lot of things done).

Contact them to get on the mailing list and get notified of meetings. The contacts page on the website should work for this, but perhaps the ol’ webmaster should add something about officers and indicate who they are? Lately meetings have been on the second Tuesday of the month at the Newburyport Art Association, starting around 7 PM.

      • Update from josh via the Facebook page: …we meet at the NAA in Newburyport our next meeting is August 14th at 7pm. This is an exciting meeting because all of our works will be on the walls.

So, perhaps we’ll see you on the 14th?

  2. Thanks, Regina, and Josh. Planning on getting to the 8/14 meeting. Would be helpful to have the meeting info posted in the FB AAGNE “About” information.

Perhaps because it is summer no special interest groups’ information or meetings are listed on the NAA website under Education/Workshops/Classes, nor on the Calendar. Maybe that will change in the Fall.

Looking forward to meeting the group and seeing the show. Sally Mason

    • The meetings aren’t scheduled too far in advance, but if I can come up with a simple way to get them on the web I’ll do it. Maybe a shared Google Calendar for exhibits, deadlines and meetings. Unfortunately keeping stuff organized isn’t my strong suit. I’m just the volunteer computer weenie. I’ll see what i can do that will be easy for the group to use and maintain.
